EXCLUSIVE: Crisis can strike at any time. What happens in the aftermath can affect everyone. A recent example of this is the chaos that came in Puerto Vallarta after the Mexican government killed a major cartel leader. From burning buildings and cars to firefights on the street between government forces and cartel operatives. All commercial airline traffic was canceled so a Florida private jet charter provides Mexico evacuation flights.
That company, Allied Jet Agency out of Sarasota, Florida, was able to operate at this critical moment in time. In a normally very competitive world of private aviation, events like these set you apart. There is an old saying, when the doing gets tough, the tough get going.
Multiple flight requests were received electronically starting on Monday, Feb 23 at 6:03 PM and ultimately followed up with a phone call to the 24/7 charter line. Allied utilizes a shared flight reservation system, pooling together requests from Allied Jet Agency, InstaJet Charters and The Boca Jet.
This was not a typical request as it was to move over 100 people out of Mexico ASAP. Typically, one would think an airliner class aircraft but that would be much more complicated from an operational standpoint.
The better plan was two lighter jets, which were immediately available. Not only was this logistically a better, safer option but it was significantly less expensive for the client.
Arranging these challenging missions was Allied CEO, Antonio Ferrara and Flight Advisor, Shelby Wayne Williams.
The flights commenced on Thursday, February 26 (3 flights) and Friday February 27 (4 flights) with a total of 102 passengers. All were seamlessly coordinated from Manzanillo/Playa De Oro Airport (MMZO) to Dallas Fort Worth Airport (DFW) utilizing Gulfstream G-IV and G-V private jets.

But it didn’t just stop at getting the passengers safely out of Mexico. Allied also assisted in helping plan commercial flights to align with the private arrivals. They even had executive coaches standing by to bring arriving passengers to the commercial terminals to continue their flights home.
Williams, commented, “I was proud to be part of this large, coordinated effort to securely return U.S. citizens home following the disruptions to travel across Mexico. By working alongside trusted operators, flight crews, ground handlers, and support teams, we helped arrange multiple private charter flights that safely transported more than 100 citizens back to the U.S.”
So, when private aviation charter clients think that all companies are alike, think again.
